Thread prefixes are a great way to help users quickly identify what category a post belongs to. We're happy to announce today that we now support XenForo thread prefixes in Threadloom search. Not only will thread prefixes now show up in search results, but you can also filter search results by prefix, simply by typing [prefix:myprefix]; and for the more adventurous amongst us, you can combine that with any of our other advanced search operators. Here's an example on Home Theater Forum:
Imagine if you searched for a topic on the Internet, and nothing came back? Or even worse, pages of results came back, but none of them were relevant? This sounds impossible with today’s modern search engines, yet it happens multiple times a day to 100s of millions of users of online forums.
Threadloom's powerful search engine is now available for all forums
I'm happy to share that Threadloom, the best forum search engine on the market, is now generally available! As we began this journey last fall, David Silvernail, the owner of ControlBooth.com and a participant in our Early Access Program, sent me this message:
"My job is to provide a place for new people to get accurate, safe answers from the more experienced in the industry. Your search tools make our best content easier to find!"
Last fall, a customer shared the following with me:
"I know we have great content in our forum. A lot of it ranks really well in Google. But most of our users are drive-bys: They come to us through Google Search, look at a page, and leave. Is there anything we can do to increase engagement and hopefully also boost ad revenue?"

During our Early Access Program, a number of our customers told us that one of the features they appreciated most about Threadloom was the speed with which it delivered highly relevant results to their users.
Threadloom Community Search (TCS) is now available for forum owners through our Early Access program. It is currently compatible with vBulletin 4.2.x and XenForo 1.5.5 or higher.

I’m pleased to announce that earlier this week, we launched Threadloom Community Search (TCS) on our first XenForo customer, TwinStuff.com. TwinStuff is a family-friendly forum that hosts discussions about everything related to twins. Now, when you search on the site, you’ll get all of the benefits of TCS, including improved search quality, forum filters, and fast forum-specific restricts.
A few months ago, we launched Threadloom Community Search on our first partner site, BabyBargains.com. My wife and I have been fans of BabyBargains.com since joining the forum years ago while expecting our first child. Because I know firsthand what a valuable resource BabyBargains.com is, I’m excited to share data from our launch.
Several friends asked me recently why I started Threadloom. This isn’t easy to answer in a blog post because there were many reasons; and the problem with talking about any single reason is that it implicitly conveys priority. But you know how these things work — it’s a lot to ask even a good friend to watch the History Channel with you. So I decided to talk about one reason that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: the value of community.
